Tom Anderson was a four-year letter winner in swimming from 1984-87. He was named the team’s Most Valuable Swimmer in 1985 and was a team captain during his senior year. Anderson earned All-NCAC accolades three times and was a 13-time All-American during his four year career. In 1985, Tom was the NCAA Division III National Champion in the 100-yard Breaststroke and in 1987, the team which Anderson captained finished second in the nation at the NCAA Division III championships.
At Denison, Tom was a member of Sigma Alpha fraternity. He was a member of the Hilltoppers and the C.L. Herrick Geological Society. Tom received a Master of Science degree in Environmental Science and Engineering at the Colorado School of Mines.
