Harrison “Hub” Bubb earned four varsity letters while playing for the Denison soccer team from 1957 through 1960. A captain of the 1960 team, Bubb started in every game during his collegiate soccer career. He was named Most Valuable Defensive Player in 1959 and 1960. He was named as an All-Ohio and All-Midwest selection in 1959 and 1960. Bubb’s 1960 All-Ohio selection was made by unanimous vote. He was named Denison’s first-ever soccer All-American in 1960. In 1959, the Big Red soccer squad challenged four Big Ten teams and defeated all four. While an undergraduate at Denison, Bubb was a member and vice president of Phi Delta Theta fraternity. Bubb also attended Ohio State, pursuing a master’s degree in business administration.
