Edward Colley

Edward Colley was a four-year letter winner and an All-American in 1976 in men’s track and field for the Denison Big Red. Colley captured an NCAA national championship in the triple jump as a senior and was a two-time Ohio long jump champion in 1974 and 1975.
Prior to his national championship in the triple jump, Colley was named the Most Outstanding Performer in field events at the 1976 Ohio Athletic Conference Championships where he set a new conference record in the triple jump. Colley was also a member of the Denison men’s basketball team in 1973. After graduating he trained with the Washington D.C. Strider Track Club in anticipation of qualifying for the 1980 Olympics.
