Carl Cutler was a three-year letter winner and All-American in 1978 for the Denison men’s soccer team. Cutler led Denison to back to back appearances in the NCAA Men’s Soccer Championship Tournament in ’78 and ’79 and was named the Ohio College Offensive Player of the Year in 1978.
Cutler’s teams at Denison posted a 42-13-5 record (.742). In 1978, the Big Red went 14-2-0 which is still the best season by winning percentage, to date. In addition to his All-America honor in 1978, Cutler was a two-time all-region, all-conference and All-Ohio award winner.
After graduating from Denison, Cutler was drafted by the Detroit Lightning of the now defunct Major Indoor Soccer League.
