Robert Danielson was a four year letterwinner in swimming while at Denison form 1982 to 1986, and served as captain of the squad in his senior season. As an All-NCAC swimmer in 1983, 1984, 1985 and 1986, Danielson was voted Denison’s Most Valuable Swimmer in 1984 and 1986. He was a 15-time All-American and the 1986 national champion in the 100-yard breast-stroke. Danielson topped off his career at Denison by earning an NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship in 1986. While at DU, Sanielson served as a fellow in the Geology Department and was a member of the C.L. Herrick Geological Society and Sigma Xi National Scientific research Honorary Society.
