Don DeJong earned four letters each in basketball, football and track, and served as co-captain of the DU cage squad in his senior year.  He previously held the school record for single-season receiving yards, having totaled 598 yards in 1951.  DeJong also left Granville owning the record for the longest touchdown reception, a 77-yard completion from fellow Hall of Famer Dave Maurer.

On the court, Don compiled 922 points over his final three seasons, and still holds the Ohio Athletic Conference record for rebounds in a game after grabbing 36 boards against Otterbein during the 1951-52 season.
