David DeWitt was a four year letterwinner in men’s swimming from 1990-93, serving as team captain in his senior season with the Big Red. Dewitt was a 24-time All-American over the duration of his career, also earning CSCAA Academic All-American honors from 1990-93 and COSIDA Academic All-American honors in 1992 and 1993. David earned all-conference accolades in 1990 and 1991 and was the team’s Most Valuable Swimmer in 1992 and 1993. Dewitt graduated from Denison in 1993 receiving the university’s most prestigious award, the President’s Medal. He was also awarded the NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship as a senior.

David served as president of Alpha Epsilon Delta, the pre-health honorary, in 1993 and was a teaching assistant from 1990-1993. Dewitt earned his M.D. from Loyola University in 2000 and graduated from the Medical College of Wisconsin Department of Orthopedic Surgery in June of 2005.
