Nancy Dunn Grune was a four year letterwinner with the Denison women’s swimming program. Grune was a six-time All-American, and she set a national collegiate record when she won the 1983 national championship 50 yard butterfly event. Grune earned All-Ohio honors 18 times and was the Division III state champion in five events as a Denison swimmer.

While at Denison, Grune was a member of Delta Delta Delta sorority, the Denison symphony orchestra, and Psi Chi, the national psychology honorary society. She was also the recipient of the Denison Women’s Acheivement Award.
