Kate Fechtel-Pavalansky was a three-year letterwinner in cross country (1988, 1989 and 1990) and in track and field (1989, 1990 and 1991.) In cross country, Kate was the team’s Most Valuable Runner in 1989 and 1990 and a team captain. She was named to the All-North Coast Athletic Conference team in 1989 and 1990. In track, Kate also served as a team captain. In 1990 and 1991, she was named to the All-North coast Athletic Conference team for both the indoor and outdoor seasons.
While at Denison, Kate was a senior math fellow on the Denison Women’s Athletic Honor Roll, Dean’s List and was the secretary of the education honorary, Kappa Delta Pi. She also served as a swimming instructor for the Denison Community Association and was a member of the Newman Club.
