William Hart
| Graduation Year: | 1950 |
| Classification: | Football, Baseball |
William Hart was a four-year letterman in football, and also won four letters in baseball. A standout at both offensive and defensive end, he was the first Denison player ever selected for Little All-American recognition.
Hart played on the two undefeated Denison teams which were coached by Woody Hayes, a Hall of Fame member. His greatest game came against Washington & Jefferson in 1947 when the 5-9, 175-pounder repeatedly stopped W&J fullback Deacon Dan Towler (6-2, 225) for little to no gain. Towler went on to become an all-pro fullback for the Los Angeles Rams.
