Dick Huff was a four-year letterwinner in football from 1946-48 and again in 1950. A member of the great Woody Hayes teams of the late 40’s, Huff was a stalwart on the Big Red’s famed defensive lines which held opponents to just over 6 points per game from 1947-48. A member of the US Navy between 1944-46, Huff played North Carolina Pre-Flight football for head coach Paul “Bear” Bryant. Huff was a member of the Phi Delta Theta fraternity at Denison.
