Cathleen Mendelson Daly was a three-year letterwinner in field hockey (1985-88) and four-year letterwinner in lacrosse 1986-86. In field hockey, she was a team captain and named both All-NCAC and All-Region in her senior year.

In lacrosse, she earned All-NCAC and All-Region honors in 1988 and ’89, and was the DU’s team captain and NCAC Player of the Year in 1989. As a senior, she was also named as a first-team All-American. Daly was also named to the NCAC 10th Anniversary Women’s Lacrosse Team.

At Denison, she was a member of Delta Delta Delta sorority. After graduation, Daly worked in the promotion departments of Vanity Fair and Allure magazines until 1995.
