Steve Nazaruk was a four-year letter winner for the Denison men’s lacrosse team between years 1970-73. As a senior he led the team in scoring with 32 goals and 25 assists while helping the squad to a 12-3 record. He earned All-American status that season and was a All-Midwest first-team selection at attack. Nazaruk’s teams won 54 games in four seasons and were two-time Midwest Champions.

Nazaruk went on to serve as an assistant coach with the Big Red from 1975-1980 and was aboard member with the US Lacrosse Foundation form 1988-89. He is founder and chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Denison Lacrosse Alumni (DLA), which was formed in 2004 to provide alumni support to the Denison men’s lacrosse program. He is also the founder of the Denison Grand Masters lacrosse team.
