Pat Brayfield begins his first year as an assistant athletic trainer at Denison University in 2011-12.  He currently serves as the primary athletic trainer for the men’s soccer, field hockey, women’s basketball and men’s lacrosse teams.

Brayfield spent the last two seasons as a graduate assistant at Ohio University where he earned his Master of Science in Athletic Training.  While in Athens, he primarily served as the athletic trainer for the Bobcat football team.  The Sherman, Ill. native also assisted as an athletic trainer for the women’s volleyball team, helped at the Ohio Open track & field event, and worked the Mid-American Conference Women’s Swimming & Diving Championship.

In 2009, Brayfield graduated Cum Laude from Illinois State University with a bachelor’s degree in athletic training.  As an undergrad, he worked with the football, women’s soccer, men’s basketball and softball teams.  In addition, Brayfield completed internships with the Bloomington Prairie Thunder Hockey Club and the Chicago Cubs minor league affiliate, the Peoria Chiefs.

Brayfield is a Licensed Athletic Trainer (LAT) and a member of the National Athletic Trainer’s Association, the National Strength and Conditioning Association, the Great Lakes Athletic Trainer’s Association, the Ohio Athletic Trainer’s Association, and the Illinois Athletic Trainer’s Association.
