Andy Zidron returns for his seventh season as the assistant men's soccer coach at Denison University in 2011. As a member of the coaching staff Zidron has been a part of two North Coast Athletic Conference Tournament championship squads (2006, 2009) and has helped the team to 58 victories and a pair of NCAA Tournament appearances over the last six seasons.
A former standout defender for the Big Red from 2001-04, Zidron capped off one of the most successful seasons in Denison University history in 2004 as the team-captain and an All-NCAC selection. That 2004 squad finished the year with an 18-3 record and rose to No. 2 in the NSCAA top-25 poll. It remains the winningest season in the 59-year history of men's soccer at Denison.
Zidron was raised in Cincinnati, Ohio and attended Anderson High School while playing competitively for Cincinnati United Premier. Zidron went on to play varsity soccer at Denison University where he graduated in 2004 with a degree in biology, he returned the following year to obtain his teaching license. The summer of 2005 Zidron played as a reserve for the Cincinnati Kings of the United Soccer League Second Division. Following his stint in the USL, Zidron accepted a job teaching science at Licking Valley High School.
Zidron married his high school sweetheart, Kelly, in 2006. The couple live in Granville with their six-month old son Owen.
