Summer Break Information
• ACTUAL OPERATIONAL HOURS of individual areas, as well as of the overall facilities, may vary to accommodateuniversity and departmental sponsored activities, camps and conferences; hours may change with little or no notice.During the summer months, Campus Services has priority in scheduling the use of the athletics complex. Groupspay for exclusive use of areas in the facilities, such as the Mitchell indoor track and tennis courts. During thesetimes, faculty, staff and recreational users should not attempt to use the reserved areas.
• ON-GOING CONSTRUCTION: Various areas of the building may be closed periodically, temporarily orpermanently, with little or no notice.
• IDENTIFICATION: Recreation pass members are required to carry their Denison ID’s when using Mitchell Center.For more information on membership policies, contact Cindy Londot at 740-587-6242/londot@denison.edu. Denisonstaff and faculty members, members of their families and their friends should also carry their Denison ID when usingthe facilities.
• THE RECREATION REQUIPMENT ROOM is not staff TION REQUIPMENT ROOM ed during the summer months. No rec equipment, such asbasketballs or racquets will be issued.
• RECREATION GYM AND MITCHELL INDOOR TENNIS COURTS: Players are required to wear clean, nonmarking shoes. Food, including sports drinks, are not allowed on the indoor tennis courts.
• COURT RESERVATION POLICIES: Reservations for racquetball, squash and wallyball courts are not taken; use isfirst come, first served.
• SCHEDULE CHANGES (at SCHEDULE CHANGES time of posting):
* Monday, May 13th - Mitchell strength room and possibly fitness rooms close for an undetermined period of time.
* Monday, May 27th [Memorial Day] - building is closed to recreation.
* Thursday-Friday, July 4th-5th [Independence Day] - building is closed to recreation.
