Fioroni receives All-Ohio honors

Denison junior running back Sam Fioroni was named to the Ohio College All-Ohio second team following a strong junior campaign in the Big Red backfield.

Fioroni led the North Coast Athletic Conference in rushing with 1,093 yards.  That total landed Fioroni on the All-NCAC first-team.  It also marked the sixth-best single-season rushing total in school history for Denison.  Fioroni is Denison's seventh running back to earn first-team accolades.

The junior tailback was also named NCAC Offensive Player of the Week twice this season.  Fioroni picked up his first honor, and was also named to the National Team of the Week, after rushing for a career-high 213 yards off 26 carries in a 42-14 win over Hiram on Sept. 17.  He logged his second conference Player of the Week honor on Oct. 4 following DU's 27-13 victory over Wooster.
