Four Denison golfers named All-NCAC

Four Denison University golfers were named All-North Coast Athletic Conference team following the completion of the 2011 NCAC Championship Series.

On the men's side, senior Kyle Bates and freshman Aaron Klimchuk earned second-team honors, while rookie Dylan Lee received honorable mention recognition. Senior Chelsea Lee garnered second-team accolades on the first-ever women's golf All-NCAC team.

Bates earned second-team honors for the second-straight season after finishing seventh in the overall championship series standings. The three-time All-NCAC pick posted a 383 in the five-round series and fired a season-low tying 74 in the second round of the Hiram Invitational.

Klimchuk finished in a tie for ninth in the final NCAC Championship Series standings. The first-year fired a combined 385 in five rounds, including a career-low 72 on the final 18 of the Hiram Invitational last Sunday. Lee earned honorable mention honors after firing a 230 at the three round Hiram Invitational last weekend. He finished in a tie for eighth at the event. Lee's rookie campaign was highlighted by a season-low 68 on the final day of the DePauw Small College Classic (Oct. 10).

On the women's side, Lee fired a 388 and finished 12th in the overall standings of the inaugural NCAC Women's Championship Series. The senior completed her four-year career in impressive fashion as she fired a career-low 92 in her final round at DU.
