Klimchuk named NCAC Golfer of the Week
Denison sophomore Aaron Klimchuk was named NCAC Golfer of the Week after helping the Big Red capture their first tournament championship in over three years.
Klimchuk earned medalist honors for the first time in his career at the Peter C. Rossin Memorial after firing an opening round 77, and closing out the tournament with a 79. The sophomore's 79 was one of only two sub-80 rounds on the final day. His 36-hole total topped the 44-man field by four strokes.
As a team, DU fired a 332 at the Rossin Memorial hosted by Washington and Jefferson College on Oct. 16-17 at Southpointe Golf Course in Canonsburg, Pa. The two-day tournament was the final of fall event for the Big Red.
Denison opens their spring season on April 7-8 when they host the Barclay Invitational at Granville Golf Course.
