Denison 4th after opening NCAC event

Denison ended the first event of the North Coast Athletic Conference Championship Series from Meadville Country Club in fourth place with a two-round total of 620.

After Dylan Lee opened with a first round 75, he countered with a one-over par, 73 on Sunday to lead the Big Red once again. Following Lee's round was Alex Geanakos who posted a four-stroke improvement with a 77 to place in a tie for 17th at 158.

Sophomore Aaron Klimchuk posted a 79 to finish in a tie for 13th overall.  Klimchuk led the field playing the par 3's at -1 for the tournament.

Dylan Francis rounded out the scoring with an 81 for a two-round total of 158.  He finished in a tie with Geanakos for 17th.

Wittenberg won the tournament with a score of 601 and was led by medalist Craig Osterbrock's rounds of 73 and 71.  Second place was shared by Ohio Wesleyan and DePauw at 614.  Fifth place went to Allegheny who carded a 624.

The NCAC Championship Series will continue with 54 holes next weekend at Oberlin Country Club in Oberlin, Ohio.
