On a gusty day in Granville, the Big Red posted four rounds in the 70s and held on for a second-place overall finish at the 2014 Ted Barclay Spring Invitational.  Denison posted a 36-hole total of 603, finishing eight strokes in front of third-place, Kenyon College.  The team championship went to top-ranked Wittenberg University.  The Tigers posted a two-round score of 590.

Denison senior Aaron Klimchuk finished as the runner-up to the medalist following rounds of 70 and 75.  Klimchuk led the field of 67 players with eight birdies on the weekend.  On Sunday, Klimchuk birdied all three par 5s en route to his 75.  For the tournament, Klimchuk's opening round 70 marked the only score under par in the two-day event.

Denison was led on Sunday by Jimmy Slovitt who posted a two-over par round of 73.  Slovitt eagled the par-5 sixth in addition to birdies on No. 10, and No. 13.  There were six eagles posted by the field on the weekend, and two came on the sixth hole.

Jonathan Taylor checked in with a 76 on Sunday after a 74 on Saturday.  His total of 150 placed him in a tie for 11th overall.  Taylor's round was highlighted by birdies on No. 1 and No. 18.

DU's fourth score of Sunday came from Rich Van Voorhis who posted a 78.  He finished in a tie for 36th overall at 159 (81, 78).

Playing as an individual, junior Dylan Lee recorded rounds of 72 and 78 to finish in a tie for 11th overall.

Tournament medalist honors went to Wittenberg's Jared Wissinger who posted rounds of 73 and 71.  Wissinger was one of seven golfers competing as an individual for the Tigers.
