DU finishes fourth at DePauw

Denison men's golf closed out the first of two North Coast Athletic Conference Championship Series events with a fourth place finish from Twin Bridges Golf Course in Danville, Ind. 

DU fired a 36-hole total of 633 which put them 26 strokes off the pace set by team champion, Wittenberg.  Denison did finish two strokes in front of fifth place DePauw, who also served as the host team for this championship event.

On Sunday, Denison was led by Jonathan Taylor who posted a 77 to finish in a tie for 11th place on the leaderboard after his 80 on Saturday.  Alex Geanakos and Jimmy Slovitt tied for 14th overall with 36-hole totals of 158.  Slovitt carded a 78 on Sunday and an 80 on Saturday, while Geanakos posted matching 79s.

Denison's fourth score on Sunday came from first-year Guille Henegar who fired an 83.  Senior Aaron Klimchuk tumbled down the leaderboard with an 84 on Sunday after an opening round 77.

Denison will return to the Hoosier State next weekend for the final NCAC Championship Series event that is scheduled to be played at Crawfordsville Country Club, in Crawfordsville, Ind.
