Brown named NCAC Player of the Week

Brown named NCAC Player of the Week

Denison senior Kyle Brown received North Coast Athletic Conference Player of the Week recognition after helping the 14th-ranked Big Red to a pair of victories over St. Mary's and U.S. Merchant Marine.

The senior attackman logged a trio of goals in DU's 16-4 victory over St. Mary's, and followed that up with another hat trick in a 17-4 win over U.S. Merchant Marine.  In addition to his three tallies against the Mariners, Brown dished out three assists en route to his six-point performance.  Both his assist and point totals are career highs.  Brown has 10 goals and five assists in five games and co-leads the team in points with 15.  The Glenview, Ill. native has logged three goals in three of the last four games.

Denison (4-1) opens NCAC action on Saturday (March 26) when they host defending conference champion Wooster at Deeds Field-Piper Stadium.  Game time is slated for 1 p.m.  A live video feed of Saturday's NCAC lid-lifter will be provided by the Denison Sports Network.
