Two earn Scholar All-Region honors

Senior Chris Olson and junior Ryan Torgersen were named to the 2011 National Soccer Coaches Association of American (NSCAA) Scholar East All-Region team.

A third-team all-region selection, Olson received All-North Coast Athletic Conference honors for the third-straight season, and earned first-team recognition for the first time in his career.  The 2010 Academic All-District IV selection started all 16 games.  He led the team in game-winning goals (2), finished second in goals (4), and third in points (9).  The senior also led the squad in shot attempts with 57.

Torgersen received second-team All-NCAC laurels after starting all 17 games in the midfield.  An honorable mention all-league pick a year ago, Torgersen led the squad in goals (5) and points (14) and finished second with four assists.  The junior posted a career-high five points in a victory at Allegheny.  He scored two goals, including the game winner, and assisted on another in the shutout win.
