For the fourth time in her career, Denison sophomore Brynn FitzGerald was named North Coast Athletic Conference Women's Golfer of the Year.
Last weekend, FitzGerald helped lead the Big Red to its first team championship of the year at their own Denison Fall Invitational by capturing medalist honors with a two-day score of 157 (77-77). The Big Red dominated the competition as they cruised to the team title with a 36-hole score of 650 (330-320), 47 strokes better than the second-place squads.
On Saturday, the sophomore posted a round-best 12 pars to go along with one birdie. On the final day, she duplicated the feat to finish the event with 24 pars and a pair of birdies.
Last year, FitzGerald earned NCAC Golfer of the Week honors three times after winning last year's Denison Fall Invitational (9/10/12), the Wooster Fall Invitational (10/9/12) and the Laura Bump Invitational (4/15/13).
Denison returns to competition on Saturday at the Ohio Wesleyan Invitational at the Safari Golf Club in Powell, Ohio.
