GAMBIER, Ohio -- Headlined by eight new personal records and four NCAA 'B' cut times, Denison women's swimming and diving traveled to Gambier, Ohio on Saturday afternoon to compete in Kenyon College's annual Fast Chance Invitational.

Leading the way for the Big Red was freshman Mia Chiappe who set three new personal-best marks in the 50, 100 and 200 freestyle events. In the 50 free, Chiappe totaled a time of 24.01, .01 seconds better than her previous best. In the 100 (51.53) and 200 free (1:52.32), not only did the freshman set new PR's, but she also logged 'B' cut times in both events.

In the time trial events for the 500 free, Caroline Colville and Logan Wickman also converted personal records when Colville clocked in at 5:00.77 and Wickman touched the wall in 5:01.08.

The following personal bests also clocked in as NCAA 'B' cut times. Sophomore Natalie Zaravella set a personal low provisional qualifying time in the 100 butterfly (56.44), and Sydney Lenz earned the same accolades in the 400 IM time trials with a 4:30.77.

Diving did not take place on Saturday afternoon.

With their final times in place, Denison will now look forward to the NCAA Division III Championships in Indianapolis, Ind. from March 21-24.
