The Denison women's outdoor track and field squad competed at the annual Kenyon College Spring Invitational on Saturday afternoon.
Rookie Jillian Reagan paced the Big Red in the track events. Reagan placed ninth in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 1:18.20. The first-year also took 11th in the 100 hurdles after crossing the line in 20.31.
Junior Laura Houcque finished 16th in the 400-meter dash after clocking in at 1:13.93, while the tandem of Riley Sechrist and Olivia Scott posted times of 22:04.87 and 22:04.96, respectively, in the 5,000-meter run.
In the field events, senior Katherine Sylvia and first-year Kristen Geary each recorded sixth-place finishes. Sylvia was sixth in the shot put after a toss of 31'6.75", while Geary cleared 8'11.75" in the pole vault en route to her finish.
The Big Red returns to competition on Friday when they host the Big Red Invitational.
