For the second-consecutive year, Denison's Aedin Brennan and Hannah Hall were named to the United State Track & Field Cross Country Coaches Association All-Academic team. In addition, the Big Red women's track & field team earned All-Academic team honors after posting a cumulative grade point average of 3.19.

Despite missing the 2016 NCAA National Outdoor meet due to an injury, Brennan left Denison as one of the most successful athletes in program history. The 2016 CoSIDA Academic All-America ® first-team selection won a national championship in the heptathlon in 2015. Brennan was also a seven-time All-American and a 26-time North Coast Athletic Conference champion.

Last May, Hall made her national debut after qualifying for the 2016 NCAA Outdoor Championship meet. The two-time conference champion finished 10th in the high jump at nationals in Waverly, Iowa.
