Season ends at NCAA Regional
The Denison women's cross country team finished 20th at the NCAA Division III Great Lakes Regional hosted by Oberlin College on Saturday afternoon.
The Big Red was paced by Michelle Clark who finished in 71st place in the 251-person field. Clark covered the 6K course in 23:21.59. Trailing Clark were seniors Ani Mutafova and Victoria Pottieger. Mutafova was 91st with a time of 23:44.68, while Pottieger crossed the line in 2345.38 which was good enough for 93rd.
Rounding out the scoring for DU were first-year Abbi Boss and junior Anne McGinty. Boss completed her first-ever NCAA regional appearance in 2419.48, while McGinty clocked in at 24:28.31.
Ohio Northern's Alison Steinbrunner won the race with a time of 21:27.74, while Calvin's Jodi Hoekstra and Oberlin's Molly Martorella rounded out the top three spots. Calvin captured the team title with 69 points, while ONU (96) and Hope (99) finished second and third, respectively. Denison finished 20th in the 36-team field with 501 points.
