GRANVILLE, Ohio- On the heels of another incredibly successful season of athletics, Denison received validation from the North Coast Athletic Conference that there was also plenty of winning taking place inside the classroom.
Denison University was honored with 86 selections to the 2017-18 North Coast Athletic Conference Academic Honor Roll. The 86 honorees were the second-most out of the 10 full-time member institutions from the NCAC. The NCAC Honor Roll is one of the most selective of its kind in college athletics. Only seniors, juniors and sophomores are eligible and honorees must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or higher.
This is the fifth consecutive year the North Coast has recognized its top student-athletes across all 23 sponsored varsity sports. This year, 734 student-athletes were named to the honor roll.
Earlier this month Denison captured its record 16th NCAC All-Sports Championship after logging three conference titles, six runner-up showings, and 17 top-five finishes. Denison ranks second with 142 NCAC championships since the conference's inception in 1984-85 and is among the national leaders in NCAA Postgraduate Scholars (49) and Academic All-American's (89).
