Robert Danielson was a four-year letter winner in swimming while at Denison from 1982-86 and served as captain of the squad in his senior season. As an All-NCAC swimmer in 1983, 1984, 1985 and 1986, Danielson was voted Denison’s Most Valuable Swimmer in 1984 and 1986. He was a 16-time All-American and the 1986 national champion in the 100-yard breaststroke. Danielson topped off his career at Denison by earning a NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship in 1986. While at DU, Danielson served as a fellow in the Geology Department and was a member of the C.L. Herrick Geological Society and Sigma Xi National Scientific research Honorary Society.
