Robby Pickett enters his first year as the men’s and women’s assistant golf coach at Denison University in 2019-20.
Pickett comes to Granville after spending the last two years as the graduate assistant for the men’s and women’s golf programs at Ohio Dominican University in Columbus, Ohio. During his time at ODU, Pickett assisted with organizing practices, travel itineraries, competitions, academic progress/success, fund-raising, and recruiting. He also created team workouts and coordinated off-season team-building activities.
Prior to Ohio Dominican, Pickett worked as the tournament director for the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour in Richmond, Va. while playing golf as an amateur across the United States. While assisting with tour management, coordination, and marketing, Pickett also competed in the Ohio Amateur Championships, Cincinnati Amateur Championships, US Four-Ball Championships and the US Mid-Amateur Championship from 2015-19.
Pickett received his Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Allegheny College in 2016. During his time in Meadville, Pickett was a three-year member of the Allegheny Gators men’s golf team where he posted three individual victories, seven top-five finishes, and 13 finishes in the top-10. He was a first-team All-NCAC selection and was also named to the Great Lakes All-Region Team in 2016. Also named the 2016 Allegheny College SAAC Male Athlete of the Year, Pickett finished second-overall at the 2016 North Coast Athletic Conference Championship after firing a 291 (+3) over the four-day tournament.
Pickett is currently a USGA Certified Rules Official and is Level 1 certified by the Titleist Performance Institute (TPI).
