Todd Taylor completed his first year as an assistant football coach at Denison University in 2018.
Taylor coached Denison's running backs in 2018 and helped the Big Red total 2,662 yards rushing led by first-team All-NCAC performers Alex Minton and Canaan Gebele. Minton rushed for a career-high 1,368 yards and 12 touchdowns while Gebele added 612 yards and 14 TDs on the ground. The 2018 season was a breakthrough campaign for the Big Red. After finishing the regular season with an 8-2 record, Denison captured a share of its first North Coast Athletic Conference championship since 1986. Denison earned the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Championship, marking the program's first playoff appearance in 33 years.
Taylor came to Denison after spending one year as an assistant coach at Hanover College. In addition to his time at Hanover, Taylor also coached at the University of Indianapolis (NCAA Division II) and was a graduate assistant at Carthage College.
Taylor received his master's degree from Carthage in 2017 and is a 2013 graduate of Anderson University where he left with a bachelor's degree in education. Taylor was a four-year letter winner for the Ravens and a starter at linebacker. He is a native of South Bend, Indiana.
