Krushena and Troll honored as NCAC Players of the Week

CLEVELAND, Ohio – Sophomore infielder Will Krushena and junior pitcher John Troll were chosen by the North Coast Athletic Conference as their Players of the Week following a pair of victories at Hampden-Sydney College this past weekend.

At the plate, Krushena opened the weekend with a 2-for-4 performance on Saturday against Hampden-Sydney, notching a double and a home run while driving in three runs on the day. In a pair of shutouts over York College (Pa.) and H-SC on Sunday, the sophomore totaled five RBI's and three runs scored to earn a team-high eight runs batted in and a 1.000 slugging percentage for the weekend.

On the hill, Troll earned Pitcher of the Week honors for the second time in his career after he blanked the Tigers in his season debut on Sunday. In the 9-0 victory over Hampden-Sydney, Troll allowed only two hits over seven innings of work while striking out four different batters.

The Big Red will turn their attention to this Saturday, March 10 when travel to Transylvania University in Lexington, Ky. to take on Capital University at 4 p.m.
