Denison baseball makes 2019 debut in Top-25

GRANVILLE, Ohio--  Denison baseball made its 2019 debut in the NCBWA/ and the ABCA Top-25 polls on Tuesday.  In the ABCA Top-25, Denison is ranked 18th and in the poll, the Big Red checks in 23rd.

Denison is off to its best start in program history at 17-2.  The pitching staff boasts a team ERA of 2.28 and the offense is batting .348 as a team while outscoring the opposition 172-56.  Junior first baseman Will Krushena is batting .423 and slugging .676 with a team-high 30 RBIs.  Max Lahn leads the NCAC with a .515 batting average and senior starting pitcher Danny Brackman is 5-1 with a 3.38 ERA in 37.1 innings pitched.  He is second in the NCAC in strikeouts with 34.

Winners of seven straight, the Big Red will continue North Coast Athletic Conference on Wednesday when they travel to Greencastle, Indiana for a doubleheader with DePauw.
