CLEVELAND, Ohio – For the second consecutive week, Denison field hockey was recognized by the North Coast Athletic Conference as junior Charlotte Happel was named the NCAC's Player of the Week for the first time in her career.

Leading the Big Red with three goals in three games this past week, Happel tallied her first goal of the season in Denison's 3-1 win at DePauw University on Wednesday, September 5, striking the cage off a penalty corner as time expired.

During Denison's weekend trip to Virginia, Happel continued her scoring efforts, connecting on a game-tying goal against Roanoke before the Big Red fell 2-1 on Saturday. Then on Sunday, September 9 at No. 20 ranked Washington & Lee, the Louisville, Ky. native opened the match with a goal in the third minute as DU powered past the Generals in the final minutes, 3-1.

Happel and the Big Red will look to improve on their 3-1 record when they travel to Oberlin College on Thursday, September 13 for a 5 p.m. matchup with the Yeowomen.
