The Big Red has a lot to celebrate this week. After winning the first North Coast Athletic Conference Tournament championship in program history, two Denison players were earned All-NCAC recognition, as announced by the conference office today.

Junior Jett Speelman was named conference Newcomer of the Year and landed on the All-NCAC first-team. In his first season at Denison, the Granville native is averaging 18.3 points and 4.8 rebounds per game. Speelman was named to the NCAC All-Tournament team after averaging 21.7 points per game in Denison's three wins.

Senior Darius White closes out his career with his first All-NCAC recognition. The single-game, single-season, and career leader in three-pointers, White is averaging 10.1 points per game and shooting a conference-best 45 percent from outside.

The Big Red begins NCAA Tournament play on Friday at 5 p.m., when they take on Alma College. The game will be held on the campus of John Carroll University.
