Last Tuesday (July 26), the National Association of Basketball Coaches announced the 2015-16 Honors Court, which recognizes those men's collegiate basketball student-athletes who excelled in academics during the past season. The Denison men's basketball team had four players named to the team.

Seniors Sean Carlin, Patrick Keller and juniors Devon Pitts and Matthew Bauer were four of the 660 student-athletes honored from more than 220 colleges and universities.

To qualify, an athlete must be a junior or senior academically and a varsity player; have a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.2 or higher at the conclusion of the 2015-16 academic year; matriculated at least one year at their current institution; and the school must be a NCAA Division I, II, III or NAIA Division I or II institution with an NABC member coach.

In addition to the individual honors, the Big Red also earned an NABC Team Academic Excellence Award for the fourth-straight year after compiling a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better last season.
