Meurer averaged 14.9 points, 3.6 assists, and 1.7 steals per game. He posted a season-high 31 points in Denison's win over Kenyon on Jan. 21. He leaves Denison as the program's all-time leader in steals and is seventh in career scoring with 1,460 points.
Speelman, the 2016 NCAC Newcomer of the Year, was named to the first-team for the second straight season. He averaged 18.3 points and 6.0 rebounds per contest, shooting 45.8 percent from beyond the 3-point line and a Division III record 96.5 percent at the free-throw line. Speelman is the second player in Denison history to score over 1,000 career points after playing only two seasons.
The Big Red won 20 games for the first time in program history, finishing 22-5 overall and 15-3 in NCAC play. They were ranked 19th in the season-ending D3hoops.com Top-25 poll.
