GRANVILLE, Ohio--  Ryan Bruns scored 34 points and pulled down 10 rebounds to help Ohio Northern to a 93-64 victory over the Denison Big Red on Wednesday night at Livingston Gymnasium.

The Polar Bears were dialed in from long range throughout but in the first half, ONU connected on 9-of-11 attempts from beyond the arc, helping them to a 51-26 halftime advantage.

In the second half, Denison cut the Ohio Northern lead to 16 after a quick 13-1 run powered by a pair of 3-pointers from Jack Coulter.

The Polar Bears answered with a 17-6 run to put the game away.

Bruns was 12-of-23 from the field and 10-of-12 from the free throw line for 34 points.  It marked his third 30-point outing of the season and was two points off his career-high set on Nov. 20 against Defiance.

Nate Burger, who entered the game averaging 26.0 points per game, scored 23 points on 9-of-13 shooting.  Joey Diorio followed with 18 points, all coming from behind the 3-point arc.  Ohio Northern finished the game 12-of-18 from three (.667) and was 33-of-61 from the field (.541).

Denison was led in scoring by Garrett Collier's 21 points.  Coulter scored 13 points by going 4-of-7 from deep.  Claude Chandonnet chipped in nine points in 25 minutes of action.  The Big Red shot 38 percent from the field and were outrebounded 39-28.

The Big Red falls to 6-4 while Ohio Northern improves to 6-3. Denison will return to the hardwood on Dec. 31 when they host the University of Chicago at 2 p.m. at Livingston Gym.
