CLEVELAND, Ohio -- After breaking Denison's single-game record with 10 three-pointers at Allegheny College this past Saturday, sophomore Jack Coulter was recognized as the Player of the Week by the North Coast Athletic Conference.
Coulter finished the day with a career-high 32 points on 10-of-19 shooting from beyond the arc as the Big Red defeated the Gators, 97-72. The San Francisco, Calif. native broke the previous program record of eight triples that was shared by Darius White (12/10/14) and Tony Price (12/16/00). It also tied the NCAC single-game record for three-pointers originally set by Earlham's Travis Brett in 2002 and Ohio Wesleyan's Nick Felhaber in 2015. Coulter also added 11 points and two assists against Ohio Wesleyan on Wednesday, Jan. 3.
In addition to the program record, the sophomore broke Allegheny's David V. Wise Center arena record for most three-pointers in a game. Coulter is averaging 11.2 points per game and is shooting 46.7-percent from three-point territory this season for DU.
Denison will return to action this Wednesday, Jan. 10 when they host DePauw University at 6 p.m.
