CLEVELAND, Ohio – Denison junior Fred Brou was recognized as the North Coast Athletic Conference's Player of the Week on Monday afternoon following his overtime game-winner against Case Western Reserve last Tuesday in Granville.

Trailing the Spartans 79-78 with 0.8 seconds remaining in overtime, Brou received a pass from Matt Doyle and buried a turnaround jumper in the paint to give the Big Red their first win of the season. Brou finished the game 10-of-17 from the field for a career-high 22 points. The Lawrence, Kan. native also added seven rebounds and a team-high five assists.

Through three games this season, Brou is averaging 9.7 points and 6.0 rebounds per game while shooting 48.1 percent from the floor.

Brou and the Big Red will return to action on Wednesday, November 28 when they travel to Westerville, Ohio for a 7 p.m. tip-off with the Cardinals of Otterbein University.
