COLUMBUS, Ohio-- Caleb Cox scored 29 points and Austin Schreck added 21 points as Capital posted a 95-68 win over Denison at the Capital Center.
The Crusaders shot 58 percent as a team and the duo of Cox and Schreck combined to go 16-of-22 from the field.
Thirteen Denison players logged at least 11 minutes of action as Conor Fenton led the way with 13 points and four rebounds in 14 minutes off the bench. Jack Coulter was 4-of-8 from 3-point range and finished with 12 points in 20 minutes. Kevin Cheng scored seven points in a season-high 21 minutes and Spencer Patenaude chipped in six points.
Denison held a 35-32 advantage on the glass but 22 turnovers resulted in 28 points for Capital. The Big Red bench did outscore Capital's 44-12 but the Crusaders hurt Denison in transition with 20 fast break points compared to two points in transition for DU.
Capital improves to 7-2 and runs its winning streak to seven games. Denison drops to 2-6 and will take a break for final exams and the holidays. They return to action on December 29 when they take on East Texas Baptist at Emory University in Atlanta.
