GRANVILLE, Ohio--  No. 17 Denison outshot visiting Albion College 53-26 en route to a 22-9 victory on Saturday at Piper Stadium.  The Big Red got four goals apiece from Alex Paulus and Spencer Butler.  Combine that with a dominating performance by Henry DeCamp at the faceoff X and that resulted in DU's second win of the season.

After struggling at times in his first two outings as Denison's FOGO, DeCamp found his stride against the Britons.  He won 21-of-26 draws and finished with a career-high 16 ground balls, finishing just two ground balls shy of the single-game record set by Kurt Himy against Mount Union in 1986.

DeCamp opened the game with a faceoff win and a goal just seven seconds into the contest.  In the first six minutes of the game, Denison built a 6-1 lead behind two goals from Will Donohue, and goals from Josh Happ, Butler and Paulus.

In the second quarter, the Big Red added a pair of man-up goals as Liam Rooney notched his third goal of the year after an offside penalty on Albion's Drew Harm.  The second EMO goal came from Donohue after a 30-second push call on Paul Johnson of the Britons.

Midway through the third, Denison held a 12-5 lead.  Over the final seven minutes of the third and the first two minutes of the fourth, the Big Red rattled off eight-straight goals to take a 20-5 lead, paving the way for mass substitutions for both squads.

In addition to Butler and Paulus' four-goal performances, Donohue finished with three goals and one assist.  Rooney scored once and added four assists, running his season total of assists to 14.  Wills Hutras notched a hat trick while Happ and Brooks Davy tallied a pair of goals.

Defensively, Rooney and Ben Duhoski led the way with two caused turnovers.  Butler followed DeCamp for the team lead in ground balls with four.

Stephen Paras played 46 minutes in goal and finished with five saves.  Will Howard and Will Nabors each notched a save during their time in the cage in the fourth quarter.

Denison was 25-of-33 when facing off and was 4-of-4 in extra-man.  The Britons committed 16 turnovers compared to 12 for the Big Red.  Albion goalie Trevor McManus played 48 minutes and finished with 18 saves.

The Big Red returns to action next Saturday, March 11 when they take on Montclair State in Sparks, Maryland.  That game will be played at the U.S. Lacrosse Headquarters.  The Denison Sports Network will provide a live video stream of that game, weather permitting.  Faceoff is scheduled for 2 p.m.
