GRANVILLE—Denison senior Ben Duhoski was named to the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association's Division III Player of the Year Watchlist. A defenseman and two-time USILA All-American, Duhoski is one of 12 players named to the list.
Last season, Duhoski was named the North Coast Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Year after causing 34 turnovers and gathering 51 ground balls. He also scored four goals while anchoring a defense that allowed just 7.1 goals per game.
Duhoski and the Big Red advanced to the program's third Final Four in 2017 and finished the year with an 18-2 record. In Duhoski's three seasons at Denison, he has posted a record of 49-8 (.860).
Denison's team was ranked fourth in the USILA / Nike Lacrosse Division III Preseason Men's Coaches Poll. Defending national champion, Salisbury held down the top spot followed by No. 2 Wesleyan and No. 3 RIT. The Big Red's 2018 schedule features five teams in the USILA preseason top-20. They will open the campaign on Sunday, Feb. 18 at Washington and Lee in Lexington, Virginia.
