CLEVELAND, Ohio – Denison's Henry DeCamp was recognized by the North Coast Athletic Conference as their men's lacrosse Player of the Week following a record-breaking outing against DePauw University on Saturday afternoon.
In a 16-2 victory over the Tigers, the junior went 21-for-21 at the faceoff X, breaking DU's single-game record of 18 that had been held by Warner Seibert since a 2005 performance against Cabrini. He also gathered 20 ground balls on the day, breaking a 32-year-old school record set by Kurt Himy in 1986 when he posted 18 ground balls against Mount Union.
The Washington, D.C. native also added 13 faceoff wins and seven ground balls in an 18-1 win over Albion College on Wednesday, March 7. He finished the week with an outstanding faceoff percentage of .944 (34-of-36).
DeCamp has won 67-of-98 (.684) draws on the year and now holds a career F/O% of .647 after two-plus seasons with the Big Red.
