GRANVILLE, Ohio-- For the sixth consecutive season, Denison and Ohio Wesleyan will meet in the championship of the North Coast Athletic Conference Men's Lacrosse Tournament. This year's title clash will take place at Selby Stadium in Delaware, Ohio on Saturday, April 28 at 4 p.m.
Denison is the No. 2 seed in the tournament and advanced to the title game after a 14-6 win over Kenyon in Wednesday's semifinal round. Ohio Wesleyan earned the No. 1 seed in the tournament thanks to a victory over the Big Red on April 15 in Granville. The Battling Bishops dispatched fourth-seeded DePauw, 21-6 in their semifinal matchup.
Denison is 3-2 in five previous trips to the NCAC Championship game and has won the last two by scores of 12-11 and 16-8. The tournament began in 2013 when the conference expanded to eight teams.
The Big Red (14-3) checks into the game ranked 11th in the most recent USILA Division III Top-20 poll. Ohio Wesleyan is ranked ninth in the USILA top-20 and is 15-2.
Ticket prices for NCAC tournament games are $7 for adults and $3 for students and children 18 and under. Students with a valid ID from an NCAC institution will be admitted free of charge. There will be no re-entry and no containers are permitted.
The winner of Saturday's game will receive the NCAC's automatic qualifying bid to the NCAA Division III Tournament.
