Having already garnered All-NCAC honors this fall, Denison men's soccer senior Ryan Torgersen and junior John Krentz were further awarded by the Ohio Collegiate Soccer Association for both their academic and athletic performances.
Torgersen finished second on the team in goals with five, earning him a spot on the OCSA All-Ohio third team. The four-year starter and senior captain also netted two game-winning goals, while starting all 17 games in 2012.
In addition to his success on the field, Torgersen was honored alongside Krentz on the OCSA Academic All-Ohio second team. As an economics major, Torgersen finished the fall with a 3.62 GPA. Krentz, a junior economics major, finished the fall with a 3.60 GPA. The defender started every game for the Big Red and scored an important game-tying goal on October 13 against Wabash. Krentz's tally came in the 88th minute to force overtime and Denison went on to win in the 98th minute.
