GRANVILLE, Ohio – The Ohio Collegiate Soccer Association has recognized Denison men's soccer for their academic and on-field achievement this season, naming senior David Jaben to the Division III All-Ohio second-team, as well as landing Jaben and junior Ryan Albers on the Division III Academic All-Ohio first and second teams, respectively.

Following his first-team selection by the All-North Coast Athletic Conference, Jaben earned All-Ohio recognition after anchoring a Big Red defense that posted five shutouts in 2018 and outscored the competition 12-6 in the NCAC. Jaben finished his senior campaign with two goals on 12 shots, including a game-winning goal against Oberlin on Oct. 10. A member of the NCAC Academic Honor Roll in each of the previous two seasons, the Waynesville, N.C. native is a double major in Economics and Political Science with a minor in Spanish. He currently holds a 3.55 GPA.

Assisting Jaben on the DU defense was Albers who started all 17 matches for the Big Red in 2018 and compiled a career-high four assists. Named to the 2017-18 NCAC Academic Honor Roll, the Beavercreek, Ohio native is a Biology major and sports a 3.63 GPA.

Denison finished this season at 7-8-2 overall and 5-2-2 in the conference while advancing to their second-straight NCAC Tournament.
