GRANVILLE, Ohio – Nine individual victories and three personal records headlined the Senior Day celebration on Saturday morning when Denison men's swimming and diving honored 10 senior members of the program and defeated Ohio Wesleyan University, 158-106, at the Trumbull Aquatics Center.

The Big Red's Kymani Senior and Kenny Fox each totaled a pair of victories for DU. Senior added a victory in the 25 freestyle with a time of 9.93, and then hit the wall first in the 100 free, clocking in at 46.51.

Fox joined PJ Desmet, Brandt Swanson and Nick Froemming to win the 200 medley relay with a combined time of 1:33.98, and then led the field in the 50 freestyle, checking in at 21.49.

Garnering finishes in the top-two, senior Jason Wesseling brought home a victory in the 100 backstroke, touching the wall in 51.76. He also finished second behind Fox in the 50 free with a time of 21.56.

Fellow seniors Zach Wagner and Liam Marsden-Readford also produced victories on the day, with Wagner securing first-place in the 50 breaststroke (26.57) and Marsden-Readford winning the 100 butterfly in 50.44. Wagner added a tie for second place in the 100 freestyle, matching teammate Stuart Hohm with a 46.52.

Hohm also finished in third-place in the 25 and 50 freestyle, clocking in at 10.04 in the 25 free and then with a personal-best 21.62 in the 50 free.

Denison added three more victories on the day when Oli Waldram won the 500 freestyle (4:47.90), senior Thomas Locke checked in first in the 50 backstroke (25.43) and Matt Hedman finished at the top in the 200 free with a time of 1:43.15.

The Big Red elected to swim their final five events of the meet as an exhibition, still receiving multiple personal-records in the 100 IM from sophomore Francis Biagioli and junior Jacob von der Lippe. Biagioli clocked his personal-best at 55.16 and von der Lippe trailed by just .51 seconds with his own PR of 55.67.

DU did not compete in the diving portion of the event.

Denison will return to action on Wednesday, Feb. 14 when the Trumbull Aquatics Center will host the four-day North Coast Athletic Conference Swimming and Diving Championships to conclude on Saturday, Feb. 17. The first event is set to start on Feb. 14 at 6:30 p.m.
